The Great Conspiracy of the Invisible Red Balls

A children's tale for adults

Once upon a time, there were some invisible little red balls, so little that no one saw them and much less cared for them, but one night, while everyone slept peacefully, these balls gathered and maliciously conspired to kill the entire population of the Earth. They drew up a plan, prepared themselves and put the plan into practice. But fortunately, and for everyone's sake, there were some very clever masters who mistrusted the little balls and through special devices and studies discovered the conspiracy and alerted the entire population of the earth.

It was a pandemonium (or pandemic as some called it).

In large speakers the wise masters warned the entire population of the imminence of danger and immediately revealed what would have to be done to contain the invasion. Any sacrifice would be worthwhile to avoid such great harm. The little balls were already in the air, people were falling dead on the street, hospitals were filling up and others were built in a hurry. It was necessary to close entire cities and lock people at home. Nothing was more important than that, not even going to work, or going to school, or having meetings of any kind not even visiting relatives or friends, or doing the normal things you do to help and support others. No, all the care was necessary to avoid a much greater evil.

The elderly who lived in homes were abandoned and left on their own because, after all, what’s a useless old man compared to many other young useful people who could be saved? The wise masters warned that all the care would be little and decreed (for everyone's sake) that the children should stay at home and avoid at all costs play with other children, they would have to spend the time the best they could (after all there was always the TV or online games and other fun things to do). Adults could only go out in the event of a dire necessity, but always with a rag on their face to hide them from the little red balls floating in the air.

Soon 3 weeks of total isolation were decreed. Everyone was warned to stock food and lock themselves at home for 3 weeks and with the promise that they would soon return to normal life. The trips were suspended, the streets were empty, the stores and factories were closed and the air became cleaner, the blue of the sky became bluer and the white of the clouds became whiter. Wild animals were seen walking freely on the deserted streets. It was a beautiful time, but when it was over, the animals returned to the forest, the pollution returned to the streets, and the threat remained.

At the end of one year of worldwide emergency situation nothing had changed. According to the wise masters the invisible balls remained and now they were even smarter than before, because they had learned from humans and had become more aggressive and treacherous, and even laughed at us as if it were a big joke. The wise masters, who knew everything the balls were up to, warned the population that those were preparing a second and third invasion, since the first one had not had the desired effect of killing some like seventy million people as had been planned.

But the population began to show signs of tiredness after so many months of running away and hiding from invisible little balls. In addition, a certain confusion and doubt was also born in the minds of the citizens, since the freedoms, rights and privileges that the wise masters had once defended as a fundamental right of every citizen were now being taken away by these same masters. This confusion created crises that could even cause other major problems. Yet the population still waited patiently and believed that soon everything would be restored to normal.

However, the wise masters did not stop at anything in their efforts because only they knew the real danger the world was in. They had speakers placed every 100 meters on the streets to keep the people abreast of all the attacks of the little balls and the victims they were continually making. This action, besides keeping the population informed, was mainly intended to make it impossible for people forget for one second of the danger they were in and to make the most frivolous and irresponsible take note and learn to fear for their own lives. All sacrifices were valid.

Special services were recruited to ensure that the population strictly obeyed the rules wisely imposed, and encouraged the most faithful to denounce the most frivolous who by their carelessness continually endangered the lives of the rest. They further decreed that everything possible should be done to prevent the rebels and discontented from talking to each other or, even worse, from misleading those who were already faithfully following the instructions given by the masters who only looked after the health of everyone.

And in their always kind and paternalistic interest for others, the wise masters consoled the population by explaining that they were working hard to prepare a magic potion capable of neutralizing the attacks of the invisible little balls. This magic potion would be obligatorily given to every person on the planet and those who refused would be confined to certain isolated places, or re-educated in special institutions that were already prudently being prepared.

The wise plan was to create a stronger human race immune to this and all other attacks on its health. This would probably require the sacrifice of the lives of many unhappy people, but it would be nothing more than a natural selection process of the race in which only the strongest and most capable would remain to inherit a glorious and superb world.

Epilogue:

How will this story end? Will the “intelligent mastersbe able to carry out their evil intent this time? I think a lot will depend on all of us. I, however, definitely believe that the story will end as well as it possibly can, otherwise I would not be wasting my time writing this here.

The “intelligent masters” in their careful plans have not taken into consideration the infinite power of the human's free will and this will be their downfall.

Letter to the world about the Thailand Rescue

(This was written right after the rescue, in June 2018. We are not in a competition between religions. This is not a religious war, this is the proof that “if two or more shall agree on earth on anything that they ask it shall be done of my Father who is in Heaven” It doesn’t matter if the “two or more” are nominally Christians, Buddhists or even atheists, the principle is universal. Christ transcends petty religious preferences).

Right when the whole world is following the Soccer World Cup 2018 in Russia another soccer team in Thailand stole the show and draw the international attention to a dedicated 25 years old coach and his 12 teenage players that decided to celebrate the birthday of one of them Peerapat Somphiangjai (nickname: Night), 17 years old, in the caves.  They took some snacks and cookies and these staples helped them to survive during the 9 days until they were found.

They came in while outside the rain that was falling heavily flooded the passage to the point that they could not come out and they had to keep going inside in search of higher place. Finally, after 4 km walking in they found a room that was higher and in there they stayed. The first 3 days where very hard because they were trying to swim and find their way out again but with no success.

I would love that the kids themselves would tell the story with details and that the story would be compiled without re-editing and twisting for the world to hear what really happened. How come they remained calm in the middle of an impossible situation like that? This is a very inspiring story. A story where the peace of the spirit overcame the panic of the flesh.

The coach had training as a Buddhist monk practicing meditation. I am sure it was very inspiring for the couch to apply his desires of love and salvation to his group. Personally, he is a man that went through a great ordeal in his life by loosing his parents and older brother through a pestilence that devastated his area. His uncle and auntie took care of him after that. He was a sad child and finally he decided to join the monks because he was looking for happiness, answers and peace of mind.
Finally he found peace and love that he shared with the kids whom he coached. By teaching and sharing his meditation practice for the sake of saving the kids he found what he was looking for and I am sure he found a meaning for his life.

It is not a competition to see what religion is the right one, but instead is a proof that we only find meaning to our lives when we give and share with others our love and peace.

Christmas of 1914

The Christmas Truce
by David G. Stratman

It was December 25, 1914, only 5 months into World War I. German, British, and French soldiers, already sick and tired of the senseless killing, disobeyed their superiors and fraternized with "the enemy" along two-thirds of the Western Front (a crime punishable by death in times of war). German troops held Christmas trees up out of the trenches with signs, "Merry Christmas."
"You no shoot, we no shoot." Thousands of troops streamed across a no-man's land strewn with rotting corpses. They sang Christmas carols, exchanged photographs of loved ones back home, shared rations, played football, and even roasted some pigs. Soldiers embraced men they had been trying to kill a few short hours before. They agreed to warn each other if the top brass forced them to fire their weapons, and to aim high.
A shudder ran through the high command on either side. Here was disaster in the making: soldiers declaring their brotherhood with each other and refusing to fight. Generals on both sides declared this spontaneous peace-making to be treasonous and subject to court martial. By March 1915 the fraternization movement had been eradicated and the killing machine put back in full operation. By the time of the armistice in 1918, fifteen million would be slaughtered.
Not many people have heard the story of the Christmas Truce. On Christmas Day, 1988, a story in the Boston Globe mentioned that a local FM radio host played "Christmas in the Trenches," a ballad about the Christmas Truce, several times and was startled by the effect. The song became the most requested recording during the holidays in Boston on several FM stations. "Even more startling than the number of requests I get is the reaction to the ballad afterward by callers who hadn't heard it before," said the radio host. "They telephone me deeply moved, sometimes in tears, asking, 'What the hell did I just hear?' "
You can probably guess why the callers were in tears. The Christmas Truce story goes against most of what we have been taught about people. It gives us a glimpse of the world as we wish it could be and says, "This really happened once." It reminds us of those thoughts we keep hidden away, out of range of the TV and newspaper stories that tell us how trivial and mean human life is. It is like hearing that our deepest wishes really are true: the world really could be different.

The awakening from sleep

In the Garden of Eden, I don't know what happened or how it was before, but one thing I know, it was a completely different world from what it is now. Maybe actually the opposite.

When they ate of that fruit, whatever it was, they enter into a dream sleep. They enter into a dream where they experimented fear, guilt and hatred for the first time. They started fearing God and running away from Him, insane fear of Love. They started being ashamed of their bodies and covering up, and they felt guilty. With fear came hatred, because whoever you fear you hate.

In other words, they died and didn't even realize. Now we still dreaming that same dream of fear, guilt, hatred sickness and death. It is just our imagination and it has no reality but that's what we perceive.

Jesus Christ came to wake us up, he sowed the seed of that wakening and the apostles did what they could, but along the way the truth was adulterated and a religious system was created to replace it. That wakening was pretty much covered with darkness again but the seed never died, it lived underground it kept sprouting up here and there along the centuries.

Now the Second Coming of Christ is the full wakening. We will wake up from that dream and will see no more death, no more time, no more fear, no more guilt and no more sin.
God is not angry at us, He is just sad for what we are going through but happy that it's almost over.

(These are considerations based on "A Course in Miracles")

What is Love? How can I forgive?

Lately I have been thinking a lot about love. Wow, I didn't know that love was so important. But of course it is, we were created by a Being called Love, so no wonder. If Love can create us imagine how powerful love is.
So, now, next step: How can I love? What is love?

I have being learning that we are all connected, and in order to energize that connection we have to love. How can we connect with others unless we love?

Then it comes forgiveness. When we forgive we love. But how can I forgive if I believe that I was hurt, or that I was deprived of something in my life that I absolutely needed to be happy? Huuum, how can I forgive? - Well, brother, that was an ilusion in your mind.

There is also the religious christian forgiveness, "I forgive you because I am stronger that this. You did hurt me, you have no idea of the harm you caused, but you know, I am a christian and I forgive you"

What? No no no, that's not the way. I can't really forgive that way. I can just pretend I forgive, because that horrible remembrance will persist and destroy anything truthful and beautiful in me.

So -- and here it is what makes the whole difference and what heals the whole situation -- the truth is: YOU DIDN'T REALLY SUFFERED ANYTHING AND THAT'S WHY YOU CAN FORGIVE. There was no hurt involved. He or she didn't hurt you at all, and you didn't hurt them at all.

Only now by knowing this you can really forgive. Let it go, let the person go and set him or her free, and that person whom you forgave will set you FREE.

True forgiveness happens only when you know that there was no harm involved in the action.

Real Freedom is Inside

  • The biggest oppressors in this world are fear and hatred, which are pretty much one and the same because fear is the source of hatred.
  • The biggest liberators in this world are love and truth.
  • The source of fear are lies and illusions and of course the source of love is truth.
  • I was always a lover of freedom. Not the freedom of doing whatever I felt like doing, not the freedom of hurting others, not the freedom of hurting myself -- of that I had enough. But that is not freedom.
  • I am talking about freedom of fear, freedom to smile, freedom to be spontaneous without criticism from others or imaginary criticism in my mind.
  • I have been a seeker of freedom all my life.
  • It's written that Jesus Christ said, You will know the truth and the truth will make you FREE! Wow, so where is the truth? The truth is the truth, and ONLY the truth is true. But where is the truth, where can I find it?
  • It's written that Jesus Christ said: I am the Truth the Way and the Life. But everybody claims to have the truth, otherwise how could they have followers? But I know that Jesus Christ was sincere and if he said that, then he was telling the truth.
  • Fear, hatred and suffering are the fruit of lies. But lies don't exist, otherwise they would be true. So, if the lie doesn't exist and if fear, hatred and suffering are the fruit of something that doesn't exist then fear, hatred and suffering don't exist either.
  • Hey, wait a minute, you say. "You tell me that fear, hatred and suffering don't exist? I see it everyday".
  • You see it because you want to see it
  • Take the first step to freedom

Consider the Poor (June 2016)

Twenty and nine children suffering from cerebral palsy forgotten by the busy world around them were rescued by a brave woman to a center to be taken care of.

The fact that there are needy people around us, needy in their bodies, health or physical condition cause us to wake up to the real values of life and to consider how blessed we are. By giving and stretching our hands to others we receive, and thus our brother becomes our savior.

We have the privilege and blessing of being able to contribute weekly with meals, meat, vegetables, juices and other products, thanks to the generosity of Woolworths Ilanga that donate these products on the verge of expiration date.

The small freezer full of good meat that will last, hopefully, for the whole week.

The door of the fridge with juices and milk drinks.

And the fridge with other perishables

Ennie, is the owner of this small NGO which she keeps at her own initiative and persistence. She was awarded with the promise (from a Mine Company) of building a new center with all the conditions to receive full time these 29 children handicapped by cerebral palsy.
