God is our refuge and strength, a very PRESENT help in trouble (Psalm 46:1)
LIFE is a succession of present moments. The past actually
doesn’t exist and the future also doesn’t exist, the only thing that exists is
the present. Life is lived in the present. The only thing we retain from the
past is the memory of it, but holding on to the past is so bad as if you would
refuse to go to the toilet to eliminate the waste food of yesterday.
What yesterday was a delicious meal that you enjoyed so much,
today is a stinking and unpleasant waste that you need to eliminate from your
system. If your system doesn’t eliminate correctly you get fat and sick. The
same for our spirits. The past, whether good or bad is gone and holding on to
it just causes your spirit to get sick and you lose happiness.
Even God, He is the great I AM, not the I was nor
the I will be . He is a very Present
help in trouble. He is, not
was or will be. The only life we have to live is NOW. There are beautiful
things happening right now in your life, in my life. Now, now, now! Jesus is
present right now! Call on Him now if you are tempted to fear the future or
hold on to the past. He IS
your Saviour today, not tomorrow, not yesterday!
