From the Foundation of the World

IMPRESSIONS OF A MISSIONARY.

When Did God created us? 

 Genesis 1, verse 2

1st day:

“The earth being without form and empty, and darkness on the face of the deep.”

1. without form

2. empty

3. darkness

In the same day God "takes care" of the darkness

"God said, Let light be! And there was light." and the darkness was gone.

Some people believe that the light was actually us, the spirits of human beings being created. Jesus said, "you are the light of the world" (Matthews 5:14). He also said: "I am the light of the world". (John 8:12)

John said in the first chapter of his gospel. "In Him was life, and the life was the light of men; and the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overtake it".

His life was the light of man. Does this means that light of man was his life? In other words, he was so in love with the light of man, the creation of man that that was his life? He lived for that, his pleasure was in that, and we were his pleasure. 

Boy, let's not forget our dignity and our value.

It also says "I knew you before I formed you in the belly." (Jeremiah 1:5) "Knew you" in the sense of, "I had intercourse with you". “Adam KNEW Eve”.  I loved you. You were my life.

"The foundation of the world" is mention in the Bible 84 times in the Literal Translation of the Bible and 77 times in the King James Version.

What about, “Before the foundation of the world". It appears 3 times. Let’s see:

John 17:24  Father, I desire that those whom You have given Me, that where I am, they may be with Me also, that they may behold My glory which You gave Me, because You loved Me before the foundation of the world.

Ephesians 1:4 “…even as He elected us in Him before the foundation of the world, for us to be holy and without blemish before Him in love,”

He chose us before the foundation of the world for us to be clean before Him in love

1Peter 1:20 “…indeed having been foreknown before the foundation of the world, but revealed in the last times because of you,”

Foreknown before the foundation of the world, we were loved, possessed, embraced, enwrapped in ecstasy with Jesus before the foundation of the world.

And “From the Foundation of the World” appears 6 times (KJV) -- Amazing Mysteries. You can see them at the end of this article

That's why we feel this attraction to Jesus, this love for Jesus that we can't comprehend very well why, because we were loved by him, we were in love; his life was the light of man. How beautiful, it all started in love and it will all end in love. It's worth it.

And he loved us so much that he accepted to be slain: What a love, it all started in love. And right there he was slain for our love: Revelation 13:8: "The Lamb having been slain from the foundation of the world" The love was so great that He didn't mind. Only because of love he could have gone through what he went through.

So coming back to our study of Genesis, God took care of the darkness by creating us, "we are the light of the world" and Jesus life is the "light of the world".

On the 2nd day:

God separated the waters. It was all a big chaos, waters everywhere, so he made a big expanse between the waters and called to the expanse "heavens", in other words, "universe". And it was also dry land below the expanse, but remember, the earth was still without form and empty.

On the 3rd day:

Now God takes care of the emptiness of earth.

"Let the earth sprout tender sprouts, the plant seeding seed, the fruit tree producing fruit according to its kind, whichever seed is in it on the earth"

God created plants, trees, seeds, fruit, and everything was beautiful and good. But remember, the earth was still without form and there were no stars, or sun, or moon, and the earth was not round either, because it was "without form". Just a dry land somewhere. There was no light of the sun, just the light of man.

On the 4th day:

Now God takes care of the fact that the earth had no form:

Genesis 1:14-18 Let luminaries be in the expanse of the heavens, to divide between the day and the night. And let them be for signs and for seasons, and for days and years. And let them be for luminaries in the expanse of the heavens, to give light on the earth. And it was so. And God made the two great luminaries: the great luminary to rule the day, and the small luminary and the stars to rule the night. And God set them in the expanse of the heavens, to give light on the earth, and to rule over the day and over the night; and to divide between the light and the darkness. And God saw that it was good."

Now here God gives shape to the earth, a sphere, and creates all the stars, suns, moons, comets and so forth "for signs and for seasons". 

God organized things, the sun to rule the day, the moon and the stars to rule the night. Then there was all the other things for signs, seasons, for organization and we have now all the laws of the universe in motion. Beautiful laws, amazing laws, still being discovered in the scientific world.

The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.
