Talk
about loving myself. Is it still a taboo to talk about it?!
Now
I believe – contrary to the traditional teachings of some preachers – that the
godly, healthy love for yourself is absolutely essential if you want to perform
God's calling, to accomplish your mission in this life.
I
heard somebody saying the other day: to love yourself is a lot more difficult than you may
think.
I
dare anybody to prove me that Jesus taught that you should hate yourself. Can
you imagine Jesus hating Himself? How could He have ever performed the works that He did
if He hated Himself? That’s unthinkable! Until you have a healthy love for
yourself you will just be a depressed mental slave incapable of performing what
God call you to do. The minute you find your identity you acquire a healthy
respect and love for yourself. And how can you do it?

Once
upon a time there was a beautiful princess. Her parents were noble people with
great influence on the kingdom, and gave her a great upbringing. She was
beautiful, very well mannered, with great respect for others and for herself
and her future place in the kingdom. She met the son of the king and queen and
they fell in love. It was the most beautiful love anybody could ever imagine.
But
soon, by some twist of fate, there was a rebellion followed by war and she was
taken captive by the enemies and driven to a dark kingdom.
Here she was made
to work for them, but in order to perform the workvshe was subject to torture
and extreme mind control to the point that she forgot who she really was and
was made to believe by the controllers that she was nobody, she was nothing and
good for nothing, just a despicable creature, because only then she could be a
good slave and perform the work without complaining.
And
it worked, her former upbringing and her identity was erased from her mind. She
only knew one thing now: I am a despicable person with the privilege of working
for this important and people. I cannot afford to lose my job and die of
starvation, I need to yield to their will and be thankful.
And
so it was, she woke up every day with only one thought in mind, perform a good
work, be an agreeable servant and cherish the privilege of working there.
Although she had unexpected bouts of depression she blamed it on the fact that
she was not thankful enough and yielded enough to the good people to whom she
worked for. She should remember that she was having food to eat, a place to
sleep while many others were dying of starvation on the streets.
But the story doesn't end here. The prince still longing for her love, together
with his father, devised a plan to rescue her from the dark kingdom and
slavery. He will go to that kingdom disguised as a poor trade man and find a
way to meet her and bring back to her the memory of who she was and what was
her destiny.
Finally
he met her and when she saw him she felt something beautiful inside of her, but
she could not make it out what it was. Even before
he explained to her what he was doing there and who she really was and what was her
destiny she felt a deep love for him. Then things started to came back to her and she was beside herself in
joy and freedom of happiness. Her self-esteem came back, her sense of
importance was rekindled, but in order to not raise suspicion she would have to
pretend for a while that she still was the same slave, although she knew she
was not.
The
prince explained that although he would love to stay with her longer he had to
leave to accomplish the whole plan. He gave her a commission to follow: spread the word to other slaves in the same conditions in order to
prepare his return with thousands of soldiers. Everything was in order. The
dark and evil kingdom was bound to fall and her capture actually turned out to
be for good because now she was instrumental in undermining the dark kingdom
from within.
And
so it was. The prince came back with thousands of soldiers to find a dark
kingdom ready to be overtaken thanks to her that had spread the word to free
mentally thousands of other slaves in identical conditions. The dark kingdom
crumbled from within while the soldiers attacked from without.
The
prince rescued the princess and things returned to the way it should have been.
The dark kingdom was destroyed and the light of love spread further than ever.

That's
the end of my story and now you know who you are, YES, you are the princess.
And you should love yourself because you know now who you really are. You are
not a despicable slave as the world made you believe to be, you are the future
princess that together with the prince will rule the entire universe – an amazing
destiny
Salvation
is to find your identity. Each one of us has to find it for ourselves, and although
we remain in this world, we are not part of it now; we know we belong to the
real kingdom. We have the commission of freeing other people from mental
slavery.
We
are not human beings having a spiritual experience, we are spirits having a
human experience and the sooner we find that out the better for us and for all
the other spirits waiting to be liberated. Jesus is the Liberator.
As I began
to love myself, I freed myself of anything that is no good for my health –
food, people, things, situations, and everything that drew me down and away
from myself. At first I called this attitude a healthy egoism. Today I know is “LOVE
OF ONESELF”. – Charlie Chaplin
As you love
yourself you don’t have to hate others, you extend this same love to everybody.
“Love others as you love yourself”, said Jesus. Let forgiveness permeate your soul.
Forgive what others did to you or what they could have done but didn’t. Forgive
what you did to yourself or what you could have done but didn’t. Now it’s a new
day: the day of finding your identity and loving it.
